Extremely trustworthy establishment! Our daughter is down here for college and we are over two hours away. So, unfortunately, we were unable to assess or assist when she had car trouble. After receiving an outrageous diagnosis and estimate from MIDAS I contacted Downtown Car Care for a second opinion. Not only did they provide a reasonable estimate for the damages that MIDAS claimed were present - once they had the vehicle in their possession, they reassessed the damages and found MIDAS was making fraudulent claims! (Exactly as we had suspected). I was contacted the very next morning and informed of their findings and was very grateful and relieved to hear the news. They were quick, honest, and had our daughter's car fixed for a fraction of what we were told! Needless to say, we would 100% recommend this business and we have instructed our daughter that this is the place to go from here on out 😉 Thank you guys!!!

I was dropping off my son at Purdue from Atlanta and on our drive the underbody splash shield dropped on his Honda Civic and was scrapping as we drove. Not knowing the area and in a panic I called Downtown Car Center and they said to bring it on in. Steve took a look and fastened with some screws and stated it was too easy to charge me anything. I feel better now leaving my son here in Indianapolis knowing there are still good honest people who care for one another. Thank you Steve!

I'm incredibly thankful to Downtown Car Care Center for diagnosing and repairing my brake issue same day so that I could enjoy my vacation instead of spending it stressing about "what if they don't have the parts?" or "what an I gonna do if my car's not done in time?". Thank you for catching and fixing what my dealership somehow "couldn't find" when I asked them about it before coming down here and at a much more reasonable price than I would have gotten there for sure. Made the ride back up much less nerve racking than the ride down. Would highly recommend this shop to anyone in the area.

Gotta acknowledge Downtown Care Care Center for your honesty. The issue had previously been diagnosed at another auto mechanic and the price for the repair was quoted at $1,500. You informed the part was in working order but needed a factory reset which didn't cost me anything. Thank you!

A friend recommended, and I had a great experience. Car stuff is always opaque and stressful, but their customer service was friendly, casual, nonjudgmental, and transparent. I had quite a laundry list of expensive services due to some damages and deferred maintenance. Their pricing fell (mercifully) right in the middle of the range I was expecting from my research—I was praying it wouldn’t be much more, and much less might have made me suspicious. They were communicative and speedy. After my initial service I noticed an issue hadn’t been entirely resolved (which only revealed itself after driving at speed, so I don’t fault them), and they happily made time for me to bring it back by with no extra charge. I even spaced the appointment, and they graciously just made me another one the next day! No frills, no nonsense, no tedious upsells, no padding—just a restored car and a refreshed trust for mechanics.
